Partnership

We encourage all who are committed to The Church @ Swan Mead to become partners of the church.

We run the three week membership course approximately twice a year and the people who have been through this process have found it to be very beneficial to their walk with God. 

If you are considering entering into membership the conditions of partnership are below, don’t t worry if you do not fully understand all of the points, that is what the course is for!

Conditions of Partnership

1.  Is in general agreement statement of Assemblies of God (in with the statement of faith and the mission Great Britain and Ireland) that is as follows:

‘The purpose of Assemblies of God is to give every man, woman and child the opportunity of understanding the gospel and to provide a church where they can grow and develop in ministry for the glory of God’. 

2. Is a born again believer, loves Jesus and is submitted to His rule in all areas of their lives.

3. Has been or is willing to be baptised in water.

4. Has been baptised in the Holy Spirit or is actively seeking God for this.

5. Believes in the importance of the New Testament church.

6. Is submitted to the leadership of the pastor and elders and exercises their ministry under their covering.

7. Is totally loyal to their brothers and sisters in the fellowship and will support them personally, practically and prayerfully.

8. Accepts the responsibilities that are necessary to the continued functioning of this fellowship, including tithing.

9. Wherever possible will join and attend a function group.

10.  Understands their role as a disciple of Jesus Christ and the great commission that Jesus has given us to reach the world for Him. (Matt 28:19-20)
